About Me
- Sweetwater Bay Montessori Preschool
- My name is Carolyn Garrison, I have lived in Gilbert, AZ for 22 years now. I have 6 children and 5 grandchildren with 2 more on the way! I completed my early education degree and set it aside to raise my children. Then when my youngest child went off to preschool at a Montessori school, I volunteered my time and fell in love with the Montessori philosophy. I was helping out with the Thanksgiving celebration and given an assignment by my son's teacher to help the children prepare a pumpkin pie. I began measuring the ingredients thinking the children would be observing me but, to my surprise the teacher reprimanded me for interferring with the children's work. This opened my eyes to how much we do for them that they can do for themselves. This pushed me to finish what I had started and complete my American Montessori Society Certification. I can honestly say I have found my life's passion. I truly enjoy learning from children. They amaze me every day.
